brief
Create a stationary package for a fictional property development firm. The project should be marketed as environmentally friendly.
*This is a BCIT student project, part of their graphic design program.
solution
I decided to use geometrical motifs with the logo; I sketched different shapes of an evergreen tree as geometrically as possible, until I was able to extract a part of it & make it look like the letter "C" & "H".
sketches
I initially was inspired by Anna Atkins, an English botanist & photographer, who created cyanotype impressions with different plants & flowers. I liked the blue toned background that cyanotype method created & it reminded me of architectural blueprint. So, I wanted to connect these two motifs together, botany & architecture, to create the logo, as seen in the sketch on the bottom left side of the left page. However, then I decided to keep it more simple and more geometrical.
